Responsibilities

Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Radiology Supervisor will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation and/or other energies used in medical imaging to obtain medical imaging studies for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. The Radiology Supervisor will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS), Patient Archiving System (PACS) as well as computerized time keeping and ordering systems. Duties include the supervision of greater than 15 technical and clerical staff members in multiple locations and/or multiple modalities.

Salary Range: $ 90,932 - $112,318 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology

Preferred: Bachelor’s in healthcare sciences, business or human resources

Experience

Required: Senior technologist with a minimum of 5 years technical experience to include regulatory and

quality control responsibilities.

Preferred: PACS and RIS experience

License(s)

Required: ARRT (R)

MRT-General Certificate

BCLS certification through American Heart Association

Preferred: Certification in additional imaging modalities

Special Skills

Required: Ability to use computer keyboard and basic programs to generate dept. reports

Able grasp elements of image acquisition in multiple modalities

Preferred: Word or Excel

Other

Required: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills,

Documented evidence of leadership abilities

Preferred: N/A
